Olga Rodríguez is known as one of the most knowledgeable Spanish journalists on the situation in the Middle East, having covered conflicts in Lebanon, Afghanistan, Iraq, the Occupied Palestinian territories, Israel and Yemen. She was staying at Palestine Hotel in Baghdad and witnessed the US attack that killed Spanish cameraman José Couso and Ukrainian journalist Taras Protsyuk.
