Bio

Giorgio Jackson is an industrial engineer and politician from Chile who currently resides in Barcelona. He was one of the most noteworthy leaders of the Chilean students’ movement in 2011 and a member of political organisations created through that movement that pushed him into parliamentary and governmental positions in his home country, including Ministry General Secretariat of the Presidency and Minister of Social Development and Family. He is the author of Copia o muerte (2019), an essay on the issues facing patenting and copyrights, from a perspective of defending common goods.
