Daniela Ortiz was born in Cuzco in 1985. Her recent projects and research address the European migration control system, the link with colonialism and the legal mechanisms created by European institutions to be able to exercise violence against migrant and racialized populations. At the same time, he has developed several projects about the Peruvian upper class and its exploitative relationship with domestic workers. Recently his artistic work has returned to focus on the visual and manual, making works in ceramics, collage, drawing and formats such as children's books with the intention of moving away from Eurocentric conceptual aesthetics.
