Bio

Carla Linares graduated in Psychology from the University of Barcelona. She wrote and directed the short film Daucus Carota (Nanouk Films) with the support of Dones Visuals, which premièred at Zinebi (2020). Previously, she participated in writing collectively created theatrical pieces that had their début at Sala Beckett, such as Like si lloras, where the dramaturgy was developed collaboratively. She also engaged in performances with her collective Pussy Picnic, which explores gender perspectives in a more intimate way.

Among her projects as an actress, the following films stand out: Les amigues de l’Àgata by A. Cros, M. Verheyern, L. Alabart and L. Rius; Júlia ist by Elena Martín; Creatura by Elena Martín; Castells by Blanca Camell; La Furia by Gemma Blasco (to be released) and La nostra habitació by Jaume Claret Muxart. As for series, she has appeared in La Mesías by Movistar, Cardo by Atresmedia, The Time It Takes and Smiley by Netflix and the series Drama by El Terrat & RTVE.

Currently, she is working on the script for her first feature film Perro Paria with the production company Ringo Media.

Project

At Faberllull, she will be developing the script for Perro Paria. The film tells the story of Sara, a young acrobat with an irrational fear of fire, who falls in love with Román, a boy living in a caravan on the outskirts of a village in the Pyrenees. Their romance becomes as passionate as it is unpredictable, leading her to question whether what she is experiencing with him is real or if she is losing her mind.
