Bio

With a degree in Humanities from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, he is a translator of Catalan, Spanish and Portuguese, as well as the author of several books and travel guides about Portugal, all edited by Anaya Touring. In collaboration with Rita Custódio, he has translated from Catalan and Spanish to Portuguese works by authors such as Mercè Rodoreda, Josep Pla, Joan Margarit, Eva Baltasar, Najat El Hachmi, Núria Pradas, Irene Solà, Irene Vallejo, Antonio Muñoz Molina, Jesús Carrasco, Belén Gopegui, Andrea Abreu, Aurora Venturini and José Rizal; from Portuguese to Spanish the works of Luandino Vieira, Paulina Chiziane, Teixeira de Queirós and Boaventura de Sousa Santos; and from Portuguese to Catalan, the works of Florbela Espanca and Maria Teresa Horta. His translation portfolio also includes several children's and young adult's books, including Pardaleta (Meraki, 2022) by Joana Estrela, which received the “Llibreter” Award (Premi Llibreter) in 2023. Together with Sion Serra Lopes and Rita Custódio, he has organized and translated Resistir ao Tempo. Antologia de Poesia Catalã (Assírio & Alvim, 2021).

Project

He will participate in a meeting of translators who adapt Irene Solà's novel to several different languages.
