Bio
He is part of the first generation of the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola. His films include Ella i jo, which premiered at the SSIFF San Sebastian Film Festival and the International Film Festival Rotterdam. His films have also been screened at festivals such as FICUNAM, DocumentaMadrid and IndieLisboa, Viena Shorts, Reykjavik International Film Festival, Short of the Week, among others. He is currently developing his first feature film, Estrany Riu, which has been featured at the Ikusmira Berriak of SSIFF and Tabakalera.
Project
I will work on my project titled Estrany riu. Brothers Dídac (15) and Biel (13) travel by bicycle along the Danube with their family. While swimming in the waters of the turbulent river they come across the mysterious Alexander (18), who will shatter their relationship. With Estrany Riu, I wanted to delve into the tales that take place on rivers and explore masculinity between brothers, framing the story with a spooky tone.
For me, being able to access the Faber, thanks to residència de Guions de l'Acadèmia, has been a great pleasure.
The place was ideal to be able to gather all the screenwriters and filmmakers and share a few days together, where lunches and dinners, of high quality, became long periods of dialogue both about cinema and other vital aspects. The two stays have allowed us to form a group, rest in a very quiet place and develop the scripts with the complicity and trust of all of us, the space, the people of Faber and the residence.
