Bio

Maria Callís (Girona, 1983) has a degree in Catalan Philology from the University of Barcelona, where she has taught for more than ten years. She currently works as a proofreader, editor and translator for several publishing houses. He has published three books of verse: "Jonàs" (Amadeu Oller prize 2004), "La matinada clara" (2009) and "La ciutat cansada" (Carles Riba prize 2016). She is rhapsode of the poeticomusical formations El pésol feréstec and Vladivostok, and from 2022 she co-directs the Barcelona Poesia festival.

Project

During my faberllull residence I will attend a seminar on Hungarian-Catalan poetry translation, together with other Catalan poets and some Hungarian translators.
