Bio

Editor-in Chief of the journal INSTEAD: INTERDISCIPLINARY STUDIES IN EDUCATION & SOCIETY / TERAŹNIEJSZOŚĆ – CZŁOWIEK – EDUKACJA. He earned his academic degrees (MA, PhD and habilitation) in philosophy, at the University of Wrocław. He deals mainly with the philosophy of language, but a part of his research concerns also the theory of argumentation, theory of rationality, pragmatism and neopragmatism. He is also engaged in interdisciplinary projects concerning ethical behaviour in organisations and philosophy of education. A large part of his activity is the translating into Polish and the editing of philosophical texts.

Project

During my stay in Olot I will be working on the translation (from English into Polish)of first chapter of Stephen Toulmin's book "The Uses of Argument", which is considered to be the founding text of both the contemporary theory of argumentation and the non-Cartesian view on human rationality.
