We are putting out a call for creators and researchers from the fields of the arts, sciences and humanities in Andorra to submit applications for a one-person residency at Faberllull Olot, a residence in the network managed by the Government of Andorra and the Institut Ramon Llull with the collaboration of Olot City Council.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

Faberllull Olot is a residence in a natural setting, perfect for concentrating and disconnecting from your daily routine. It offers the space and quality time to work on individual projects, share experiences with other international residents and establish contacts or partner with professionals from Catalonia.

Faberllull Olot is located in the facilities of the Hotel Riu Fluvià. It features bright, spacious rooms with a Wi-Fi connection, as well as a common area where residents can work and share their projects and a conference room for activities aimed at local people and institutions.

Faberllull Olot covers accommodation costs and half-board (breakfast and dinner) for residents. It also offers a fully-equipped kitchen for residents to prepare their own lunch. The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports at the Government of Andorra offers Andorran creatives 30 euros/day to cover other expenses associated with their stay.

Residents are expected to engage in activities aimed at students, professionals or the general public as part of a project that will take into account previous demands and needs. Since opening in September 2016, more than 600 artists from around the world have passed through Faberllull Olot, participating in conferences, meetings, round tables, seminars and workshops for institutes, cultural centres, libraries, companies and universities in Olot and throughout Catalonia.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Any artist from Andorra in need of a space and productive work time to develop a project in keeping with the following lines of work and thinking:

• Talent and excellence
• Internationalisation and cultural diplomacy
• Giving back to society and culture

Faberllull Olot is open to all manner of disciplines related to the arts, sciences and humanities. Professionals in writing, translation, screenwriting, theatre, acting, music, cinema, photography, art, history, philosophy, sociology, anthropology, journalism, science, research, biology, ecology, economics, law and all kinds of professionals who want to come and work on their projects for a few days outside the dates when there are thematic stays are invited to apply.

Requirements:

• Andorran nationality or legal residence.
• The duration of the stay is eight days, seven nights:
  • 17 to 24 November, 2 places
• Propose at least two activities to carry out during your time at the residence.

DEADLINES FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS:

Applications are accepted through to 27 June.

Results will be communicated individually from 2 July.
