Project

Her time at Faberllull Olot will allow her to finish completing the draft of her second crime novel, featuring Inspector Elisa Blanch, and share the writing process with other creators and the public.

The plot revolves around a sexual assault with links to a bygone disappearance and delves into structural violence against women and the revictimisation they suffer from the judicial and police system. At the same time, the protagonist faces the consequences of an assault they experienced as a teenager, making the story also one of resilience and reconstruction.

My stay at Faberllull Olot was a much deeper and more rewarding experience than I could have imagined. I turned up there with a clear goal: to finish the first draft of my novel. I knew I would have time to write, but disconnecting from day-to-day life meant I could have a more open and calm mental space, ideal for concentrating, moving forwards and getting into the flow of the story and characters.

Yet what surprised me most was the relationship with the other residents. One of the most valuable takeaways from the experience was the talent and generosity of my colleagues, as we shared conversations and collaborations. They opened up a world of new ideas and possibilities for me.

I would like to thank Faberllull Olot for this gift, and Pepa and Andreu for making everything so easy and pleasant for us.
