Bio

He is a career civil servant in the secondary education teaching corps, specialising in educational guidance.

His work has been linked to the field of specific educational support needs in different infant, primary and secondary education centres and in special education centres.

In September 2015 he joined the Conselleria de Educación de la Generalitat Valenciana, as head of the Special Education Section.

Since September 2019 he has held the position of Head of the Inclusive Education Service, whose functions include, among others, the establishment of criteria for the implementation of the inclusive school model, planning, regulation and coordination of actions related to equality, coexistence and compensation of inequalities and the proposal for the organisation and structure of educational and vocational guidance.

Within the Administration, it has participated in and coordinated the drafting of the new regulations governing educational inclusion and educational and vocational guidance in the Valencian education system, also contributing to its dissemination in various presentations and talks.

Project

During the stay in the conferences planned by the Network of Professionals of the Inclusive School of Catalonia I will participate in the different activities planned: the cloisters, the workshops-converza and the spaces for sharers.

In these activities I will exchange with the participants reflections and actions related to inclusion and educational guidance (organisational models and barriers to inclusion, identification of support profiles, schooling contexts, etc.). The aim is to make available and learn about different experiences that allow mutual enrichment and, ultimately, contribute to improving the inclusion of students in schools.

All this from my experience as a professional in educational guidance and as a manager from the Administration, combining the roles of communicator-sharing and active listener.
