She has been teaching during thirty three years Catalan Language and Literature in a public high school. At the same time she was working on translation and writing some articles in newspapers. Her professional life has based on reading and writting. She is specially interested in languages as Galician and Catalan firstable because they are own languages, but also because they don’t have a state that protects them. Interpreting and transferring the world from one to the other is also an attempt to ensure its survival

Project

I am working on the translation of the book Ave do Paraíso. Lorena Conde. Ed. Apiario, octubre 2021. It is a long poem with a dramatic structure.
The author reviews Andersen's Tale of Red Shoes. Explore the messages of oppression, paternalism and misogyny behind the plot of the traditional tale.

It aims to show us how the behaviors that have always led us to accept as right and good in the background are an education for obedience and are contrary to the freedom and sexuality of women, to the full control of the voice and the cos. It is a text-call for disobedience. A rebellion. A female dance of rebellion.

Reading aloud, contrasting and dialogue with other translators will be a very useful part of the final wording of the translation.
