Prospects for Language Teaching in a Multilingual and Digital World

September 2026

Faberllull will bring together a select group of national and international researchers to explore the prospects and challenges posed by language teaching and learning in a multilingual and digital world. The programme will provide a physical and intellectual space for participants to explore, propose and delve into initiatives that bring theoretical research closer to practice and promote knowledge transfers.

The residency will pay special attention to the case of the teaching and learning of medium-sized languages and/or ones in minority contexts, such as Catalan. One of the central objectives of the residency is to facilitate collaborations between invited researchers so they can explore and share local and international initiatives and projects that could be successfully implemented for other languages and in other contexts.

The stay is promoted by the Language area of the Institut Ramon Llull, which promotes the teaching of Catalan in universities and centres of higher education through the Llull Network, a stable group of some 130 universities around the world, with more than 7,000 enrolled students.
