Feeling-thinking   to   weave   global   justice

April-May 2022

The team leading this project is formed by four sentipensante women and multifaceted professionals from Catalunya and Abiayala (known by the colonial name of Latin America). They braid their activities in academic, community, as well as with Indigenous and non-Indigenous advocacy settings across different continents.

From intersectional urbanism, socio-ecology, and Indigenous studies, all collaborate with grassroots organizations for social justice. The work to be carried out during the residency seeks to bring together, feel, and make visible these diverse long-standing work experiences which include migrant justice, feminist urbanism, territorial and Indigenous rights, ontological diversity, as well as the struggle for justice in its wider sense.

The proposed project objectives are:

  • Knowledge exchange among the team members generating a dialogue of knowledges that values differences in context, while highlighting the common challenges present in grassroots work with a social justice approach.
  • Gather and make visible through the production of an article illustrates, contrasts, and reflects on the experiences of each team member.
  • Generate experiences through collaborative and co-learning activities with the Olot community to amplify voices and formats which open the doors to new ways of thinking about intercontinental relationality and connectivity.

All these exchanges will be made considering different proposals from the BIPOC populations (black, indigenous and people of color) and LGTBQ2 +.
