Inés Sarmiento Presents Joint Work with Lluís Casahuga
Actress and dancer Inés Sarmiento (Ibiza) has presented Aigua i Roca (Water and Rock) , a joint stage piece with Andorran artist Lluís Casahuga that explores the meeting between feminine and masculine, fluid and solid, sea and mountain. The collaborative work by the two artists connects Ibiza and Andorra, two seemingly opposite landscapes that acknowledge each other and dialogue through body and sound. The production was presented this Friday evening at the Era de Casa Rossell, the agricultural annexe to the historic Casa Rossell homestead, in Ordino. It was followed by a talk with the audience to share the process and exchange impressions.
Inés Sarmiento was staying at Faber Andorra through to 30 September to work on the third part of her “Identity” trilogy. During this time, she met guitarist, sound artist and producer Lluís Casahuga. Originally from the Balearic Islands but long established in Andorra, Lluis finds the Andorran soundscape a constant source of inspiration for his works.
