Inés Sarmiento Gives Workshop to Students at Andorran School of Ordino

Artist Inés Sarmiento this morning presented La Roba (Clothes), a project created for the stage and reflecting on the environmental impact of the textile industry and consumer habits, in a workshop she ran with fifth-grade students at the Andorran School of Ordino. Starting with the question "What path has this jumper taken to get here?", she showed how a piece of clothing can become the guiding thread of a drama in a story that follows the jumper’s journey from origin to final destination. The workshop encouraged the students to become aware of responsible consumption and the vast quantity of textile waste generated by today's society.

Inés Sarmiento is an actress, dancer, choreographer and teacher, with a degree in gestural theatre from the RESAD school of drama in Madrid and training in contemporary dance. She has lived in Ibiza since 2006, where she runs her own company and combines artistic creation with educational projects for children, young people and adults. During her stay at Faber Andorra, from 1 to 30 September 2026, she will develop the project Aigua i Roca (Water and Rock), a stage piece celebrating the encounter between feminine and masculine as two opposing elements that form a whole.
