Francesca Corso Explains Her Work to Olot Art School Students

Francesca Corso gave a talk to students in the final years of the illustration course at the Olot Art School. Ms Corso spoke about her career, the projects she has engaged in and her way of working. The resident illustrator at Faberllull gave advice on how to start a project, disclosed her creative process, provided clues on where ideas can be taken from and explained how to make a storyboard, using one of her own as an example.

During the talk, she also showed the students how to present a project and shared her portfolio so they could see a real example of what one looks like.

Francesca Corso was born in Verona and lives in Mallorca. Her books have been published in Italy, Australia and Denmark, and will soon be released in Spain and Canada. She will be at Faberllull until 10 October to participate in the third Illustrators' Stay to collaborate with international publishers, organised by the Institut Ramon Llull. She is currently working with Brazilian publishing house Telos on the book 'A casa meva' ("In My House"), an intimate and poetic text by Clara Haddad that talks about the home.
