Illustrator Júlia Quintana (Martorelles) told the story La Castanyera (The Chestnut Seller) in the children's room of the Marià Vayreda Library in Olot on Thursday. While telling the story, she drew the scenes and main characters from it live. At the end of the story, she raffled off the drawings among the attendees and the children were able to colour in some of the pictures from La Castanyera, illustrated by Quintana.

La Castanyera is a story by Gina Samba with illustrations by Júlia Quintana and published by Estrella Polar. It is part of the collection Les meves tradicions amb mecanismes (My Traditions with Mechanisms), which brings various traditions closer to children, using mechanisms to pull and drag.

Júlia Quintana is an illustrator and high school teacher. She will be at the Faberllull Olot residence from 30 September to 10 October to work on a children's illustrated album for the Italian publishing house Coccinella.
