The president of the Institute of Catalan Studies, Teresa Cabré, gave a talk this Tuesday afternoon at the first meeting of Catalan Study Associations, being held at the Faberllull Olot residence from 16 to 19 September. Dr Cabré explained the Institute’s role to the different association representatives.

The talk took place just after the participants were welcomed by the director of the Institut Ramon Llull, Pere Almeda, and the director of the Language and Universities Area of the Institut Ramon Llull, Josep-Anton Fernàndez. The afternoon ended with a brief introduction to the work performed by each association.

It was the first time that international Catalan study associations have met to explore their role, share projects and analyse the main challenges they face.
