Arià Paco concluded his stay at Faberllull with a workshop for students on the creative writing course at Olot Municipal School of Expression. The Barcelona-based author encouraged them to reflect on how writing can be a tool for exploring moral issues or topics that challenge them. In his explanation, he invited them to think about how stories should carry a subtext and should serve as a way of prompting the reader to reflect on a meaningful issue that should be present throughout the narrative.

Paco encouraged the students to revisit texts they had previously written and revise them with a focus on identifying the core issue that matters to them and that they would like to see reflected in the story. He gave them advice and suggested at which points in the story the issue they want the reader to reflect on could be introduced.

Arià Paco (1993) holds undergraduate and master's degrees in Philosophy from the University of Barcelona, and a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Arizona. He has published three novels: Mentir a les mosques (Lying to the Flies, 2020); Covarda, vella, tan salvatge (Coward, old woman, so wild, 2022), which won the Roc Boronat Award; and Teoria del joc (Game Theory, 2025), which won the Anagrama Books Award. At Faberllull, he wrote about men and networks and reflected on masculinities, which he linked to material and political conditions.
