Željko Trbušić, a resident at Faber Andorra in 2025, met Lídia Arbués, head of the National Archive of Andorra, and David Iglésias, head of the Photographic and Audiovisual Documentation section of Girona City Council, to present the artificial intelligence model he is working on.

During the meeting, Željko demonstrated how his model can automatically identify and describe objects and elements in images by drawing on digitised photos from the National Archive of Andorra and the Municipal Archive of Girona City Council.

In addition, Željko will spend his time in Andorra starting the English translation of his doctoral thesis on optical character recognition (OCR) technology, large-scale automatic text recognition and their impact on the field of archives.

He will develop the two technologies with archives from Andorra's national collection.
