Talk on the translation profession
Andrés Ehrenhaus, Nicole d'Amonville and Jorge Fondebrider go to the Institut Bosc de la Coma d'Olot to talk to the students about the work of translators: difficulties in literary translations, the role of the translator's creativity, respect for the 'work and the original author, etc.
The aim is for Humanities students to get a general idea of the difficulties that translators encounter in literary works in order to preserve the essence of the original work. For example, in the case of poetry, it is not only complex to maintain the meaning but also the form.
