Laia Sánchez, professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and Citilab representative in the residency connected to the Biennial of Thought in Palma, has given the talk “Urban collaboratories as tools for social innovation” to project managers in the Palma City Council, in cooperation with the Municipal Training School.

During the lecture, which has been completed with a practical exercise, Laia Sánchez has explained how citizen labs work and their use as a tool for innovation; she has specifically spoken about the concepts “iterative project” versus “linear project”; in the second part of her intervention, she has focused on the La Soledat neighbourhood in Palma; the attendants have split into groups to work on different proposals for this area’s new urban project.
