First joint session with local entities at the Biennial of Thought
In the first gathering between the Faberllull residents and representatives of several local collectives, the foundations have been laid for the dynamics that will guide the four work sessions.
The task at hand is structured following four central concepts –culture, city, democracy and technology– and a presiding question: How can we collectively think the city of the future? The premise set by Bauma, in charge of conducting these sessions, is that there is no obligation to reach a specific result, but that this will be seen at the end of this process.
To begin, the participants took part in an exercise to meet the rest of the team in the dynamic, through several short meetings; after that, a brainstorming of questions regarding particular aspects was carried out, in order to contribute to the big question presiding over the residency. From the local challenges, the residents gather first-hand data on Palma’s local reality.
The collectives present in these work sessions are Circula Cultura, Associació de Veïnats de Canamunt, IDISMA, Obertament Balears, Joves Arquitectes de Mallorca, Sa Galania, AAtomic Lab and Associació d’Amics de la Soledat Foraporta, as well as project managers from several departments in the Palma City Council.
