School of Thought of Teatre Lliure: Jorge Riechmann, Carlota Subiròs and Marina Garcés, 20 October
At the School of Thought of Teatre Lliure, together with the philosopher Marina Garcés and the theater director Carlota Subirós, on October 20th we braided a dialogue to try to answer the question "Does our present have a future? We talked about catastrophes and technoutopias, about condemnations and salvations, about scales and disproportions, about ecologies of the mind (Gregory Bateson) and about failing better (Samuel Beckett, who updated for the Century of the Great Test would come to say: collapse better). A verse by Rilke, evoked by Carlota, gives us a good note: Wer spricht von Siegen? berstehen is alles. English: "Who speaks of victories? Overcoming is everything".
