Lecture: “Read Roberto Bolaño”
Through a first reading of the papers of Roberto Bolaño archive, Valerie Miles proved that Bolaño wrote almost twenty years in a disciplined way without publishing almost nothing, and through his continuous recycling method, the undergrowth of his creative world grew increasingly rich and dense. Bolaño wrote an idea or noticed an image or captured instantly a metaphor and rewrote again in another way, perhaps in verse, or became a column in two or a poem in prose, sculpting knowingly. Also he wrote as from visual stimulus, paintings, sculptures or photographs or even dance of Martha Graham. Miles reviewed some of the hidden items in the work of Bolaño, which —she says— «contribute to the famous and magnetic quality in his prose, like a field of reflections with familiar look.»
